Protandric hermaphrodite; it matures and functions first as a male and then as a female. Mating behavior has not been reported. Eggs are spawned in mucous strings that may extend SIGNIFICANCE TO HUMANS to 1.6 ft (0.5 m) in length. None known. ♦
